About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Aurora, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at logistics and distribution locations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of company protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or unauthorized presence.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address questions and/or concerns related to access and security-related matters.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to support overall site security-related operations and objectives.
