About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and staying visible throughout your shift. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities. You will be part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive and secure environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises to maintain compliance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and/or staff with directions and information regarding access procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or issues according to Allied Universal procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment in alignment with client requirements.
