Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Cranbury, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. You will play an important role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the overall security-related needs of the site. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control for retail and mall locations.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious behavior in accordance with company and client guidelines.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity within the location.
