Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Full-Time in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials and/or identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following established access control procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
Document observations and/or incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and/or visitors to provide information and assistance as needed.
