As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with badge access, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access logs, incidents, and any unusual activity observed during assigned shifts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Enforce site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to access control, deliveries, and restricted areas.
  • Assist with emergency response activities by following Allied Universal and client protocols, providing information and support to first responders when necessary.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues and support the overall security program at the logistics and distribution location.
