Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk of a healthcare location.
  • Monitor facility access from the front desk by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or visitor credentials, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, and support front desk operations by maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation related to security-related activities.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk and reporting unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through appropriate channels.
