About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail-related location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greeting visitors, managing access, and supporting security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols for the location.
  • Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, checking in guests, issuing badges or visitor credentials, and/or maintaining front desk logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership, first responders, and/or Allied Universal management when appropriate.
  • Support front desk operations by answering phones, directing foot traffic, documenting activity, and reporting unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues through proper channels.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions by maintaining a professional presence at the reception area and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
