Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, greet residents, visitors, and staff, and help manage access in accordance with site protocols and visitor procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Perform routine front desk duties such as observing cameras and alarm indicators, documenting daily activity, and reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
