Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Desk Driver in Port Arthur, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor entry points to help support smooth daily operations. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and deliver professional customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby checkpoints, including verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Conduct vehicle and/or personnel screening as required by site procedures, monitor alarms and cameras, and communicate routine and urgent updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing incident reports and routing notifications per post orders.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, loading areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
