Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Access Desk in Woodstock, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a fast-paced automotive location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry points while monitoring activity and reporting security-related concerns. You will use computers and/or tablets to document events, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a customer-first experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and assisting with turnstiles, gates, and key control as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns through the chain of command and completing clear security-related reports.
  • Support vehicle and delivery access operations by checking shipping documents as directed, managing traffic flow at entrances, and/or observing for prohibited items to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, and documenting observations per post orders.
