As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a fast-paced retail and logistics location, you will manage access control at entrances, gates, and loading areas, verify IDs and credentials, and track visitor and driver activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication and quick reporting. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, tenants, and/or associates while following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Control access at entrances, lobbies, and/or vehicle gates by checking identification, verifying appointments or deliveries, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, coordinate with dock or receiving personnel, and report irregularities such as damaged seals, unauthorized access attempts, or restricted area violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance, documenting events, and supporting emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, and/or distribution yard and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.
