Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Access Control in Lugoff, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry logs, and directing traffic to the right areas. You will complete routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver clear communication and customer service while working with a team that values integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication systems; report irregular activity and document incidents according to post orders and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting hazards and reporting maintenance concerns.
