You will complete routine rounds, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver helpful customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Monitor and control access at entrances, exits, and designated areas by greeting visitors, verifying identification where required, issuing badges when applicable, and directing foot traffic.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying management and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and support loss prevention efforts.
- Complete reports, maintain access logs, and communicate observations to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision in accordance with site procedures.
