About The Position

As a Security Officer Level III Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and/or emergency response protocols appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss issues, assisting with de-escalation and maintaining a professional presence in high-traffic customer areas.
• Support opening, closing, and after-hours activities by observing key access points, checking assigned areas, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or other security-related issues that could impact the location.
