About The Position

This job is responsible for performing routine patrol and clerical tasks that require some security knowledge. We are hiring for 3 shifts: A Shift: Monday-Wednesday and every other Sunday (6:00am-6:00pm) B Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Sunday (6:00am-6:00pm) + 5% shift premium C Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday (6:00pm-6:00am) + 15% shift premium

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year experience in security ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Valid Class C California Drivers’s license.
Ability to obtain a valid California BSIS Guard Card.
Indefinite US work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly, monitoring for unauthorized access, safety hazards, and suspicious behavior.
Monitor security cameras and alarms, maintaining attention to unusual activity and entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism.
Inspect and maintain the functionality of all security and safety systems within the facility.
Manage and enforce access control protocols, including verifying employee and visitor identification.
Respond quickly and effectively to security and safety incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and other potential hazards.
Assist in the evacuation of personnel during emergencies, following all established emergency protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
Investigate incidents and prepare reports to document security breaches, accidents, alarms that result in E.R.T. activations or other significant events.
Coordinate with the security team, supervisors, and department heads to develop and enforce security policies.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and security regulations.
Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.
Provide back-up coverage for the main lobby, including operating switchboard and greeting visitors.
Create identification badges for employees, vendors, and contractors.
