About The Position

As a Security Officer - Intake Screener in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer Screener in a healthcare location, you will greet and screen staff, patients, and visitors, support access control for sensitive areas such as the morgue, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, conduct routine rounds as needed, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while supporting security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a healthcare location, including greeting and directing patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Screen individuals entering the facility in accordance with post orders, which may include checking identification, confirming appointment or visiting information, and/or performing authorized entry screening protocols.
  • Control access points by monitoring entry and exit activity, issuing visitor credentials when required, and reporting irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning medical staff and/or emergency responders as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas as directed, observing for conditions that may require a security-related response and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
