About The Position

As a Security Officer - Intake Screener in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer Screener in a healthcare location, you will greet and screen staff, patients, and visitors, support access control for sensitive areas such as the morgue, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, conduct routine rounds as needed, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Work in a hospital morgue environment.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while supporting security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a healthcare location, including greeting and directing patients, visitors, and staff.
Screen individuals entering the facility in accordance with post orders, which may include checking identification, confirming appointment or visiting information, and/or performing authorized entry screening protocols.
Control access points by monitoring entry and exit activity, issuing visitor credentials when required, and reporting irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning medical staff and/or emergency responders as needed and documenting actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas as directed, observing for conditions that may require a security-related response and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
