About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related situations, all while embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a manufacturing and industrial location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and help to maintain a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Work closely with site personnel and Allied Universal management to communicate relevant security-related information.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials as appropriate for a manufacturing and industrial setting.
