As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and report concerns clearly to site contacts. This is a driving post requiring a valid in-state driver’s license. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Have at least 2 years' service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have previous firefighting experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
  • Conduct routine access control activities including verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or damage to property.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and equipment checks, and communicate noteworthy activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management as needed.
