About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Gatehouse in North Liberty, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor check-in, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to help reduce incidents. Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an industrial manufacturing location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing arrivals to authorized locations.
Monitor and respond to alarms, access control events, and policy violations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating incidents through established communication and reporting protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Screen and coordinate the movement of deliveries and vehicles through designated gates and docks by checking documentation, observing load areas as assigned, and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
