About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Gatehouse Driver in Toronto, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage site entry, verify credentials, watch alarms and cameras, and complete detailed reports. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through professional presence and quick response. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, including checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to the appropriate location.
  • Help support security-related procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, controlling vehicle and pedestrian access, and maintaining awareness of restricted and production areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders per post orders.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and pass-downs, documenting access activity and unusual conditions in a clear and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
