As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious activities according to company and client protocols.
Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and directions within the location.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address any security-related concerns or updates specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment.
