As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related procedures at the location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to support compliance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and employees as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report any security-related concerns.
Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or emergencies according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and first responders as directed.
