Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control Driver in Phoenix, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the site. This is a driving post. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities within the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and surrounding perimeter to observe and report unusual activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and/or irregularities, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and improve procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and directing personnel as needed.
