About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Specialist in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property, including guest areas, back-of-house, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or conditions, and communicate promptly with management and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to manage visitor flow.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Promote a welcoming and secure environment by providing directions, information, and assistance to guests and staff as needed.
