Requirements

Vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
Assignment may include work in hospital morgue areas.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, and respond appropriately to emergencies when necessary.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual conditions.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Interact with staff, patients, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry as directed by site policies.
Participate in emergency response activities such as evacuations or drills, supporting healthcare staff and first responders as required.
