As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated hospital areas to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and professionalism will support access control and provide assistance as needed, all while exemplifying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have received required vaccines as mandated by the hospital client.
  • Applicants may be required to work in or around hospital morgue areas.
  • Applicants may be required to restrain individuals as part of their security-related duties at the hospital.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report incidents or occurrences according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of facility policies as directed by site leadership.
