Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Watch/Patrol in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional service through clear communication and a caring approach. Requirements

Vaccinations required for hospital assignments.
Must be able to work in hospital morgue environments.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
Work collaboratively with facility staff and/or emergency personnel during incidents or drills, providing assistance as needed.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
