As a Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate with both visitors and team members. This position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Help to deter unwanted activity by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and surrounding perimeter.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to promote a welcoming environment and address any security-related concerns as they arise.
  • Report and document any observed irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons, according to site procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to support security-related needs and requests at the location.
