Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Roving Rounds in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and service needs. You will document observations, communicate clearly with clinical teams, and support access control as needed. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting clinical staff with security-related presence during disruptive events.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at designated entrances, verify credentials as required, and direct visitors to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
