Security Officer - Hospital Roving Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Greensburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity, coordinate with onsite staff as needed, and report maintenance hazards and/or property concerns through the proper channels.
- Complete shift reports and incident reports, communicate notable events during post handoff, and support Allied Universal requirements for training, professionalism, and compliance.
