About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Rover Driver in West Chester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control activity as needed, document observations, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout healthcare buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, then report concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate updates during shift turnover.
