As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control, visitor management, and other security-related procedures in a healthcare facility, following site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, damaged property, and unsecured doors.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other systems as assigned, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel of security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial assistance, requesting emergency services when needed, and following post orders for medical and biohazard-related areas.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and access activity, and coordinate with facility staff and/or local responders to support orderly operations.
