About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Eugene, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, report concerns, and support site protocols. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor management processes such as sign-in, badge issuance, and directing arrivals to the proper destination.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders when needed.
  • Document routine activity and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, maintaining professionalism and discretion when encountering sensitive healthcare information.
