As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication, professional service, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, clinics, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying credentials, assisting with wayfinding, and helping to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate relevant information during post briefings, and support investigations by preserving observations and providing statements as requested.
