Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Westfield, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using site systems. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital and clinic site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and medical facility disturbances, and/or escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and check identification, visitor credentials, and/or deliveries as directed by site procedures, documenting entries and reporting irregularities.
  • Complete reports and logs regarding patrol activity, incidents, and shift turnover, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
