As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Brandon, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Willingness to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness and ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Subject to a background investigation.
  • Subject to a drug screen.
  • Meet state and/or local licensing requirements prior to employment (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor direction, and support orderly foot traffic within the location.
  • Assist with security-related requests from location personnel, including observing for unusual behavior, helping to de-escalate routine situations, and communicating with supervisors and/or first responders when needed.
