About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Rounds in Elyria, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Proof of hospital-required vaccines is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities thoroughly and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and/or other site-specific procedures.
