Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where your presence and customer-focused approach help support a calm, controlled environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, watch for security-related concerns, assist with wayfinding and access control, document activity, and communicate clearly with care teams. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will deliver through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and/or service areas.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal site leadership and/or client representatives.
