You will complete routine patrols, respond to calls for assistance, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with care teams. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards such as blocked exits, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials when required, directing visitors to appropriate destinations, and supporting visitor management processes in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete shift documentation and incident reports, communicate security-related observations to site leadership, and assist with preserving incident details for follow-up as needed.
