Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Front Desk in Port Saint Lucie, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for staff, patients, and visitors, supporting a welcoming environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will manage access, verify identification, monitor alarms and cameras, document activity, and communicate clearly with clinical teams during routine operations and urgent situations. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in and/or around a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and access control protocols, while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Monitor the lobby and reception area for unusual activity, report concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and professional presence.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor check-in and/or badging per location policy, and maintain accurate logs for visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from appropriate internal staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Support security-related administrative tasks such as answering phones, providing directions, coordinating with clinical and facilities teams, and documenting incident details in written reports.
