Security Officer - Hospital Foot Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Hospital Foot Patrol in Delray Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and support a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment where a morgue is present.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, clinics, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and/or badge compliance, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through established reporting channels.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and coordinate with site representatives and/or local responders as directed.
