As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location supporting vaccine services, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and respond to requests while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards, unauthorized access, and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required, and assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding while documenting security-related observations.
  • Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related service requests, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff.
