About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Entry Escort in Monroeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Must have received all required vaccines as mandated by the hospital.
Must be able to work in or around hospital morgue areas.
Must be able to restrain individuals as required by hospital protocols.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
Work closely with healthcare staff to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and personnel.
