As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a dynamic hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Proof of hospital-required vaccines is required for this position.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of staff, visitors, and patients within a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as needed to address incidents and maintain a secure environment.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines for healthcare security-related operations, maintaining professionalism at all times.
