About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Escort in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post. You will provide outstanding customer service, support hospital operations, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination is required for this hospital site.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and following appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support adherence to facility protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences as observed during patrols.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general information while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during emergencies or incidents.
