Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Campus Patrol Driver in Miramar, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document activity, and assist with access control and/or wayfinding. At Allied Universal, you will work with a caring, agile team that delivers through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific post orders, access control procedures, and security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate hospital departments and/or emergency services per procedure.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, document observations, and escalate issues through the established chain of command.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and pass-downs; support investigations by preserving notes, collecting available details, and coordinating with site leadership as directed.
