About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Campus Patrol Driver in Miramar, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document activity, and assist with access control and/or wayfinding. At Allied Universal, you will work with a caring, agile team that delivers through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific post orders, access control procedures, and security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate hospital departments and/or emergency services per procedure.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, document observations, and escalate issues through the established chain of command.
Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and pass-downs; support investigations by preserving notes, collecting available details, and coordinating with site leadership as directed.
