Requirements

At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to help protect people and property.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or breaches in accordance with established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the industrial location to help to deter unwanted behavior and reassure personnel.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while upholding security-related standards.
Carry and maintain control of authorized firearms in accordance with post orders, training, and legal requirements.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly in required reports.
