Job Description As a Security Officer - Federal Annex Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to reports and/or alarms, support access control and visitor guidance, and document observations with clear communication. You will bring our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while delivering through teamwork and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific protocols, access requirements, and Allied Universal post orders.
  • Carry out security-related procedures, including identification checks, visitor processing, and monitoring of assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate on-site contacts and/or public resources as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points, while documenting observations and concerns.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate unusual activity to supervision and/or client representatives, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
