Job Description As a Security Guard - Federal Office Visitor Desk in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, document activity, and respond to concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
Monitor alarm systems, cameras, and other security-related equipment as assigned, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
Complete written and electronic reports for incidents, observations, patrol activities, and service requests in a timely manner.
Provide de-escalation and customer assistance during disputes, disruptive behavior, and trespassing situations, requesting additional support when needed.
Coordinate with site management and responding public agencies as directed during medical, fire, and other emergency events.
Support property loss prevention efforts by observing for unauthorized removal of property and/or restricted items, and reporting concerns through approved channels.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance, follow confidentiality expectations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public.
